The facilities at our Casey animal hospital enable us to perform a number of standard procedures including:
De-Sexing
By far the most common procedure performed at our veterinary surgery, de-sexing not only prevents unwanted litters, it can also help your pet live a longer, happier and healthier life. Vets in Cranbourne recommends de-sexing male and female cats at 12-16 weeks of age, and male and female dogs 6-13 months of age.
Soft Tissue Surgery
Vets in Cranbourne also have the facilities to perform a number of other standard soft tissue surgeries including skin biopsies as well as cancer and anal gland removal.
Orthopedic Surgery
Vets on Cranbourne offer a wide range of common orthopedic repair surgeries to treat musculosketal related injuries and health conditions. We enlist the services of Specialist Orthopedic Surgeons for procedures our Veterinary team cannot perform, so your pet can still have access to the services they need in a familiar environment.
Pre-anaesthetic blood testing
Although veterinary surgery is relatively common, it does come with some risks. To mitigate some of the most common risks associated with surgery, Vets in Cranbourne offer optional pre-anaesthetic blood testing. This is a fast, painless procedure which is processed onsite in our pathology lab and enables us to check the function of your pet’s vital organs. In some instances, this testing can reveal the presence of an underlying condition which required a modified dose of anaesthetic.
